FRANKLIN, Tenn. — MAPCO is offering delivery at more than 35 MAPCO Express convenience stores in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky through a new partnership with third-party delivery service DoorDash.
The on-demand delivery service is now offered between 8 a.m. and midnight. Customers can order through MAPCO’s rewards website, mobile app, on DoorDash’s website or via the DoorDash mobile app. Available items include salads, sandwiches, snacks and candy, coffee, fountain beverages and more.
All orders placed through DoorDash will be delivered with a no-contact dropoff per the company’s COVID-19 safety regulations, MAPCO said.
“We are thrilled to partner with DoorDash and offer our guests a safe and convenient way to get their favorite MAPCO products, merchandise and essentials delivered straight to their homes,” said Claudio Daguerressar, vice president of marketing for MAPCO Express. “This partnership is aligned with our strategy in making our products and promotions more accessible and complements the launch of our new app, where customers can pay directly inside the store as well as at the pump for a seamless and more touchless experience that stays true to our ‘convenience you can trust’ promise.”
MAPCO is among the convenience-store chains that have boosted their delivery strategy during the coronavirus pandemic. Others include 7-Eleven, QuikTrip, Alltown Fresh, Casey’s General Stores, and QuickChek. Casey’s and QuickChek’s delivery services are also operated via DoorDash.
San Francisco-based DoorDash operates in more than 4,000 cities in the United States and Canada. The company was founded in 2013.
Owned by Compania de Petroleos de Chile (COPEC), a Chilean retail and fuel giant, MAPCO operates more than 340 c-stores in the United States under the MAPCO Express banner. The Franklin, Tenn.-based chain is No. 22 in CSP’s 2020 Top 202 list of the largest c-store chains in the United States.
