IRVING, Texas — 7-Eleven is piloting a new fresh bakery program at select stores in “key markets” nationwide, the company said.
The new bakery menu includes Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins, Chocolate Croissants, Halloween Cut Out Cookies, Chocolate Bretzels and Salted Caramel Cookies. Alongside these baked goods, each 7-Eleven store will receive updated bakery equipment to make each of these items multiple times a day as needed, 7-Eleven said.
7-Eleven will launch the bakery program in Long Island, N.Y., Florida and Texas, with plans to roll out in all future newly constructed stores and in existing stores that can accommodate the equipment. The baked goods will also be available for delivery through the 7-Eleven’s 7NOW mobile app.
In September 2019, 7-Eleven introduced three baked goods inspired by cocktail flavors: the Pina Colada Cupcake, Bourbon Maple Praline Yeast Donut and Cinnamon Fire Bomb Cake Donut. 7-Eleven’s staple bakery items include Glazed Donuts, Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Apple Fritters, Blueberry Muffins and Pumpkin Muffins.
Based in Irving, Texas, 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 71,100 7-Eleven convenience stores in 17 countries, including approximately 11,800 in North America. It is No. 1 on CSP’s 2020 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by size.
