TEMPLE, Texas —Susan Adzick, former vice president and COO of McLane Foodservice, a division of the McLane Co. Inc., has been promoted to president. Adzick succeeds Tom Zatina, who has been named executive vice president and chief strategy officer of McLane Co. after leading McLane Foodservice since 2006.
Adzick was promoted to executive vice president and COO of McLane Foodservice in January, departing from her role as senior vice president of sales and strategic relationships, which she held since 2018. Since joining McLane Foodservice in 2000, Adzick has worked to elevate the McLane Foodservice brand to higher visibility within the industry, grow market share with existing brands and add new customers to McLane’s casual-dining and fast-casual segments, the company said. She has also provided strategic direction, business development and customer relationship management for McLane Foodservice.

Prior to joining McLane Foodservice, Adzick held multiple roles with PepsiCo, including vice president of operations and senior vice president of national accounts. She is on the National Restaurant Association’s board of directors and the Restaurant Leadership Conference advisory council and is the vice chair of the National Restaurant Educational Foundation board of directors. She was also the chair of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) board of directors in 2018.
As executive vice president and chief strategy officer of McLane, Zatina will lead key projects that drive process improvements and enhance McLane’s capabilities in meeting current strategic objectives, McLane said. Prior to joining McLane, Zatina was COO of wholesale distributor Bozzuto’s Inc., Cheshire, Conn., for 15 years.
