CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Holmes Oil Co. Inc., the parent company of Cruizers convenience stores, has named c-store industry veteran Chris Postlewaite as its new director of foodservice.
Postlewaite has nearly two decades of experience in the foodservice industry. Most recently, he spent nearly six years at CEFCO convenience stores, a division of Temple, Texas-based Fikes Wholesale Inc., where he held a variety of roles including senior director of food and beverage, director of franchise administration, merchandising manager, category manager and district manager. He was a finalist for CSP’s 2020 Foodservice Category Manager of the Year while working for CEFCO. He left the company in March 2020.
Postlewaite has also worked for GPM Investments, Richmond, Va., and Valor Oil, Owensboro, Ky., as well as Richmond-based restaurants Major Willy’s and 2113 Bistro.
Based in Chapel Hill, N.C., Holmes Oil operates 26 Cruizers c-stores in central North Carolina. The stores are known for fountain drinks made with 100% filtered water and served at 34 degrees over “chewy ice.” They also offer beanZcafe coffee and iced tea and subZero frozen drinks, along with freshly baked cookies, muffins, biscuits and pastries. The roller grill features all-beef hot dogs, sausage dogs and tornados. Holmes Oil is a distributor of ExxonMobil and Valero fuels.
